I am a little behind but wanted to post about Cyndi’s and the boys visit this summer. We met Cyndi, Andrew, Jacob and Michael in San Antonio and had a great time.
in the shadow of the Alamo. Our munchkins.
We had a boat ride and were walking back to our hotel. Purely by accident out hotel was in the perfect place to walk to the Alamo and the River Walk.
The next day we went to the Natural Bridge Cavern. They were awesome. The entrance.
You had to be careful where you leaned or touched. The oil of your skin would color the rock and ruin the stalactites.
It has been a long time since I have been in a cave. We all had a good time seeing this marvel we call Earth.
Wow! They only grow something like an inch a decade (?). I don’t remember but it was slow.
The amount of rock that is towering above you. Can you imagine being the first one in to see these wonders?
The water level was down from normal. Usually the water is up to the white line and the water is aqua.
Two of our little hams, Nathan and Jacob.
Next, we had lunch at the cafe by the Caverns. There was a great climbing tower outside of the Caverns. Everyone had to wear one of these harnesses.
Nathan decided to go on the zip line.
And away he went. He had a great time.
Here I was hanging out with my buddy, Michael.
Andrew and Jacob going through the climbing tower. It was harder than it looks!
It was an awesome tower. You climbed up to the top on the right and then took the zip line across to the other tower.
The petting zoo after our ride to see the animals:
We had fun feeding the goats and other animals in the petting zoo. Michael really had fun.
A baby emu. They were so soft.
Everyone got into the action.
We came home and Kathie and her family came to visit. We swam in our little pool in the backyard.
All aboard the USS float. Cyndi had the girls and Michael also. She is a brave woman!
We went down and fed the cows and everyone wore the cowboy hat! Lastly, there is the pretty cowgirl!
We had a good time and then they had to go back to start school. We miss you all. Oh, Michael didn't’ want to put on the hat.
